Monterrey Holds Inter Miami to a Draw in FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Opener

In a thrilling opening Group E match of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Monterrey and Inter Milan played to a 1-1 draw at the Rose Bowl in California.

Monterrey’s Goal:
Monterrey took the lead in the 25th minute, thanks to a powerful header from veteran defender Sergio Ramos. The goal came from a well-executed corner kick, as Ramos rose above the Inter defenders to put Monterrey ahead.

Inter Milan Equalizer:
Just before halftime, Inter Milan responded. Lautaro Martínez capitalized on a free kick that was delivered by Carlos Augusto, finishing calmly to level the score 1-1.

Second Half:
Both teams pushed hard for the winning goal in the second half, with several chances at either end. However, neither Monterrey nor Inter Miami could find the back of the net, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
